Job Fair

Establishing a platform where employers and potential candidates can meet is very important Since last few years we have been inviting the top hotels from Kathmandu to talk to our graduate students about job potentials and career development with them. This year we invited Aloft Kathmandu, Marriott Naxal and Shanker Hotel to talk to our students in this regard. Human Resource Managers and Department Heads were present during the Job Fair from respective Hotels.

Educational Fair

Our Bachelor Level Students participated along with faculty members in two educational fairs held in the fiscal year. Kantipur Hissan Education Fair whose venue was in Bhirkuti Mandap and it was a 4 day event targeting both intermediate and Bachelor Students and Nepal Higher Education Fair held in Annapurna Hotel it was a 2 day event targeting Bachelor Students.

1st Chinese Singing Competition

During the ist Chinese Singing Competition hosted by Chinese Culture Center (CCC) two of our students performed exceptionally well. Nima Yangchey won the 2nd Runner-up position and Anjal Lama reached the finalist round which was held at Marriott Naxal.

EUHOFA Congress

EUHOFA, an international organization of Hotel and Tourism colleges organized its annual congress 2019 in Nepal. This is the first time in the 58 years history of EUHOFA that the congress is being organized in Asia and that too in Nepal. IST as the EUHOFA member college hosted the event in Nepal in collaboration with other member colleges in the eve of Visit Nepal Year 2020. The organizing school members of Nepal participated in the 57th EUHOFA International Congress 2018 in Lausanne, Switzerland and invited the international members to visit Nepal for 58th EUHOFA International Congress 2019, Nepal.Our CEO, Director and Principal took part in this congress which was held in Hotel Yak and Yeti, Durbar Marg.

Community Police Partnership Program

IST College being member of Community - Police Partnership program organized a training program to its students, parents and teachers regarding "Cyber Safety and Drug Abuse" in collaboration with Nepal Police. The program was chaired by Mr. Shailesh Thapa Kshetri - Deputy Inspector General of Police, Metropolitan Police Office Kathmandu. The information shared by Mr. Kshetri during the program was quite relevant and important.
